Books
I have learned to begin planning with printed tour books. Websites are made to advertise for the most part. I find books are better at providing both the pros and cons of a place with specific suggestions for how to make the most of your time in a place. You must make sure however that they are recent, within 2 years. Here are the books I used in planning this trip:
- Moon "Pacific Northwest Road" Trip by Allison Williams
- Lonely Planet "Washington, Oregon, and the Pacific Northwest"
- Moon "Oregon" by Judy Jewell and W. C, McRae
- National Geographic Guide to State Parks of the United States
